Yes, you´re right: This cable is remote für the DSP amplifier. It has to be connected to pin 3 of the black radio connector (= switched + 12 Volt).

It is important that permanent + 12 Volt (= main operating voltage of the radio) has to be connected to pin 7 of the black radio connector. Sometimes it is connected to pin 4 = + 12 Volt ignition = remote to switch the radio on/off via key.
