For the grill is the same answer to Poisen. I add just that i love the phase 1 mit emblem. And the clean bumper is not for my GTI (in my opinion), i like the oem bumber with my plate "Hybrid02". So, thank you for your opinion. :danke:

Yesterday (finally) i solved the big trouble to rear axle.

Before 150 km testing, i check a dangerous feeling with car. Impossible to drive. At the rear is like a flag.

- camber -4.10
- toe +0,51

Excessive and too dangerous, it's time to solve with other shims. Founded by a guy that found the right data on vwVortex.

The new and right shims

Each rear Hub is fitted with 3 shims: 1 thick (/// or 3 mmm) and 2 more thin (// or 2 mm)

In the photo below, the right positioning on rear hub ( in the shot: the rear left hub front wieving. In the pic is showed with drums, but it's the same with disc)

Finally defitted my wrong shims (fitted only in the 2 bolts under hub)

Golf is perfect the feeling is optimal, and the rear is perfect. I'm very happy! :D

Sorry für OT aber........Kann mir das mal bitte jemand übersetzen (detailiert) gerne auch per PN. Mein Englisch ist zwar ok aber das war mir grad zu viel.

Die Vorspur war durch das falsche Unterlegen unter den Achszapfen recht groß und das Auto hat sich sehr schlecht fahren lassen. Wenn man die Scheibendicke ändert und nur drei Scheiben verbaut korrigiert man die Vorspur bei gleichbleibenden Sturz.

With Mercedes Felgen, no problem with space from Fege to gewinde, but with Artec i Didn't have the safe clearence, and i can't low anymore.

IHMO i have only 2 way.
- Fitting higher wheel spacer (from 22 to 30 spurveirbreiturung)
- Settng a new camber

With laser precison tools to measure angle, I stated my work.


Before to change, i check my standing camber: -1,3 degree with neutral upper camber plate.
I changed the camber wheel from -1,3 to +0,15

The finalstanding is great:

- Total camber -1,20
- The wheels is now corret positoned
- I have the right clearence to work safe with coilover, and i have the space to low the front axle.

I check my data in Tyre center (all good and perfect...now i can make myself camber/toe adjust)

i thought the same^^ black taillights don't really fit perfect to the rest of the car. some red taillights would be better. and I have an idea: how about painting the VW-logo in the grill from white to highgloss red? i think this would lok nice, too :)

I agree wth BuzzDee. I think red tail lights would be fits better in this concept. And i repeat it twice, you have a nice clean reqr view. Why you dont clean the front? I think a clean Phase 1 grill an a clean Canadian Front bumper would be perfect.

My only (wanted) red details is the S2. I don't like any other red details outside.

I think more better the blacks magic color.

The front logo (in my concept) follow the car color, not the felge color. In this way is possible to change wheels without any color modify to the car.
I don't like full red light...I ever dislike the USA parts...i love EURO.

Phase 1 grill is impossible to find, all th badgeless phase 1 are home made grill, and nobody sell them. I don't like usa parts, and ther's another problem: Usa bumber are full paint body,. I don't want full white golf, and make black matt on usa bumber is hard and never be the same like the oem effect.
The only (future) upgrade is: oem trunk with GTI spoiler, Matt black CL numberplate leisten, oem logo but without rear wiper.
I think the clean trunk is not so good with the rest of the car.
